My approach to painting on silk embraces the unpredictable relationship between liquid pigments and wet silk. Rather than trying to control every movement of colour, I let the pigments interact naturally with the silk, creating spontaneous patterns, textures, and unexpected colour relationships.
I establish the artistic direction, but I also welcome the unexpected. The silk becomes an active participant in the creative process, revealing possibilities that cannot always be anticipated or deliberately reproduced.
For me, this is essential to the experience. It balances artistic intention with the freedom to let nature take its course.
